From youth sports coaches, to board members, to parent advisory committees, or fundraisers, volunteers make the Y what it is today. Every hour you spend as a YMCA volunteer translates into the caring attention a child or teen needs to grow up healthy and resilient. Teen
Center Volunteer Hours will be determined in agreement with supervisor and supervisee and will vary depending on project and need. An average commitment of 2-3 hours weekly over the course of 3 months is the minimum requirement; more hours can be arranged as needed. Skills & Qualifications: Candidates for this position must have excellent communication skills, flexibility, a desire to work with adolescents, and be available for regular training and supervision tailored to individual needs. Any documentation of hours or other requirements to fulfill class credit must be communicated in advance to the Supervisor. Position may be terminated if candidate demonstrates behavior incongruent with Teen Center mission or which jeopardizes the health or safety of any individuals.
